Security
Online
When you order goods from our online store, your order details are encrypted
and can only be read by our order processing software after the encrypted
orders have been downloaded from our internet server into the order processing
PC.
If you choose to pay by credit card, you have the option of submitting your
credit card details by fax or mail or you can enter the details using the
on-line credit card payment window. This special software module encrypts the
card details in your PC as you enter them . It then sends the card details in a
seperate file from the order details , up to our server. When we download the
encrypted orders and encrypted payment details into our order processing PC,
the decryption will re-link the credit card payment details with the order
details.
An encrypted order or card payment is stored at the web site only until it is
downloaded, at which point it will be deleted. All orders and card details are
encrypted whilst they sit on the web site and are only ever decrypted after
being downloaded thus you can be sure that no one except you the customer and
we your supplier have access to the details for payment processing.
At no time are your order or card details available on the internet or an
internet server allowing you to buy with complete confidence and trust.
Payments by credit cards are authorised and processed using seperate equipment
supplied by Natwest Streamline Services a part of Natwest Bank plc, and this
equipment does not use the internet.
Actinic inbuilt encryption, uses an 128bit model to encrypt the credit card
details within the browser on a customer's PC. It employs an encryption
standard called Diffie-Hellman, which is a public-key algorithm for key
exchange, and is widely used on the Internet. Actinic Catalog uses 128bit keys,
providing an extremely strong and reliable encryption.
